How to Get Started
It's important that you know how I work because it's obvious I do things a bit differently than other law firms. I want you to know how to get started and what to expect.
Register in the Online Office
Register as a client of our law firm by clicking on the "Get Started" link at the bottom of this page. There is no cost to do this. We will do a conflicts of interest check to make sure that we can legally represent you. In most situations, you must be an Tennessee resident or have a matter that applies to Tennessee law in order to use our services. As part of the registration process, you must accept our Limited Services Agreement.
After you are accepted as a client of the firm you will have access to your own secure Web space. Within this secure space, you can:
- request completed legal documents together with legal advice
- request legal advice by asking a question
- communicate with me on a secure basis
- upload documents that you have received from other parties for me to review
- archive copies of your completed documents
What to Expect
I will respond to you in the Online Office. My response will, of course, depend on what you initially did when you registered. It may be a simple answer to your question or a question from me to you, or it may be just a simple hello and welcome.
After we together have figured out exactly what services you are going to need, if any, I will provide you with a quote for those services. If you then accept the quote, I will go ahead and perform those services for you.
After I have completed the work that you have requested, I will then invoice you for the quoted amount. Once that invoice is paid, I will then provide you with the completed work.
It's Really Very Simple.
The key to our relationship is communication. The Online Office increases our ability to communicate with each other. When we communicate well, your legal needs are met faster and more accurately.
